A Donegal Affair
Waves, blues,
greens, a spray hue
I could only be
there with you
Alone, or
another soul, only a craving
Wanting,
yearning, a heart reshaping
Your nature,
seen through your eyes
Searching them,
a soul never lies
I fell for you, relinquishing
my self
Tender, fragile,
as vulnerable as Delph
On a cliff top,
I knew it was you
Donegal, sharing
a magical brew
In a cottage,
later, I lay transfixed
Longing,
passion, love, all mixed
The glow of the
fire, rises higher
For all to see, a
love fuelled pyre
Rooted in me,
it’s only you Mary
From my heart, I
will never vary
